Rekindling Roots in partnership with Hedge-U-cation C.I.C. are raising funds to enable asylum seeking families and individuals to attend the Hedge-U-cation Family Camp. These will include some of the unaccompanied children brought to the UK under the Dubs Amendment, and their key workers.
The community spirit at the heart of Hedge-U-cation is fundamental to everything we do. We know that children and families seeking asylum in the UK have left homes, family members and connections behind – we’d like to extend the warmest of welcomes and invite some of them to join the Hedge-U-cation family.
We would like to offer fully funded places at Hedge-U-cation, including travel expenses, to families and children who are going through the asylum-seeking process, based in the local area and around the UK. If we raise enough funds we will offer bell tents set up, ready for the families when they arrive.
