Welcome to Hedge-U-cation!

Hedge-U-cation provides land-based educational and therapeutic activities for children, young people and adults. We hold Forest School outdoor learning sessions including bushcraft, wild food foraging and environmental education. We run workshops sharing traditional arts, crafts and skills such as woodworking, blacksmithing, coppicing and basket-making. We also offer group sessions where we prepare meals, combining edibles collected on foraging walks, food from our gardens and allotments and locally-sourced produce.

We believe that learning new skills together in an outdoor environment promotes resilience, improves social, emotional, mental and physical well-being and strengthens communities.
